I grew up with fake Christmas trees, but Trevor got me a few years ago really liking the tradition of going out and choosing our own tree. They don't give out permits in Utah, so we had to head up to Idaho after Trevor got off work. We got there after sunset, got the boys all bundled up, then trecked down to find us a great tree. We finally settled on the second one we saw because it was dark, Cameron was sick and just sat on the sled and cried. Owen wouldn't stay on the sled cause he wanted to crawl in the snow. Trev had a big ol' saw and couldn't come too close to them. Anyway, we ended up with a great tree with a lot of character.
This is right when we got there... you can't tell how dark it is because of the flash. Off we are to get our tree, and get it home...

And then we have to put the lights on...

And the ornaments...

Needless to say this whole process took us at least a week. But our tree is now up AND decorated safely in the corner. (except that Owen has figured out how to climb over our box wall barrier). It's so fun to watch them learn! (while we hope the paint on the ornament didn't have any lead in it!!!) Happy Holidays!

That's a fun tradition. We go the fake route. I don't mind though. I love the picture with the light in his mouth, we have one like that of Kaleb when he was little and it was lighting up his little chubby cheeks. So cute. Hey for the music you can just click on create a playlist under the one on my blog and then you create an account and they type in songs you want. It will come up with a bunch and on the left of the song you can play it of cluck the plus button to add it to your list. Then it will tell you how to add it. Let me know if you need anymore help! Sorry for the novel!
