Promised Pictures

So for Chistmas my mom got us tickets to the Blue Man Group. It was such a cool show, and it was so nice to have a night out with my family! (Thanks again Aunt Karen, and Nanny, and Dad, and Robbin, and Christian, and Mikey... I think they thought I was bringing a herd of elephants over...:)

My mom was being a dork and didn't want to take a serious picture and had a bunch of chocalate in her mouth... Billy did a great job of capturing the moment. As you can tell, I come from a very serious family!!!

Look at these two studs. I can't believe how old they look!!!

They are so funny with eachother! They "wrestle" by rolling over eachother and they officially show their love to eachother by slapping eachother on the head. I guess it's a boy thing.

This is my favorite cousin on my dad's side. He's (his name is Micah) a month and day older than me, and we grew up like brother and sister. But we haven't lived in the same state since 7th grade and haven't seen eachother since my wedding. Him and his brothers came out for a few days, and I was lucky enough to see them for a few hours. It was so good to see him and it reminded me how important it is to have family... it's just so fun to feel instantly comfortable just because it's family!!!

So I got home from work the other day, and Trev just didn't know what to do with the boys any longer. They'd been whining and not wanting anything. So, I sent him shopping (I really did... at first he though he'd be bored, and then he ended being out for awhile... what a good little house-wife!) So I made some really watery pudding and put the boys in just their diapers in an empty bathtub and let them paint with it.

Owen absolutely loved it. And then he figured out how good it tasted, and he literally licked the bowl clean.

Cameron cried the entire time. He doesn't like to sit down in the bathtub and since I took out the non-slip mat it was really slippery. So he kept feeling like he was going to fall. I finally gave him his very own bowl to kind of start over and see if that would help. He grabbed it and tried to drink like he was so thirsty or something... well it went up his nose... it didn't make him any happier.

After rinsing the tub out and them off (thanks to my great neighbor Brooke) they were happy to be in the tub with not so mean bowls.

A few weekends ago we (my mom and brother too) took the boys sledding. They had absolutely no emotions about it. Not happy or sad... nothing. I don't know if it was cause they felt like the kid in the Christmas story, "Mom, I can't put my arms down." So in the end the boys went sledding... but not the ones inteded... Trev and Billy.

Anyways, we're doing great! Here's the latest on them...

The boys are doing awsome! They turned one last month, and are not babies any longer! They both walk everywhere and are learning how to climb and what-not too. It's so fun to watch them figure things out (or not figure them out, and get stuck and whine for help). They are super happy and love that they can actually move and do anything they want. They are officially done with bottles, and doing great with sippy cups. It wasn't a challenge at all to make the switch. They sleep through the night (about 12 hours) and take two naps during the day. Owen loves to try to say words and try to get us to do what he wants. Cameron signs all the time (we've done baby sign for a long time) to communcate and mostly just says "Da-da" still for everything. They love singing songs and their newest thing is dancing (which is really just squatting rhythmically).

Looks like you guys are doing amazing!!! feels like it's been forever since i have talked to you. hope all is well. I'm in Roma, Italy studying. i can't believe you are out of school and in the real world. I'm on the 7 year track... lots of people go to school for 7 years though (doctors for instance). the boys look stellar. i'm going to do my best to make a trip out there to visit you this summer if you have the time.
