1. My biggest weakness is food. I love food. Salty, sweet. Dinner, dessert. Trevor knows that if he wants to make my day, to make me food (and he does, almost daily). I have low blood sugar and can blame it partly on that.... but truly, I'd eat every three hours by choice anyway.
2. I am a sucker for reality shows. Get me to watch one episode of any show, and I'm hooked. Not only that, but that's basically the only thing I will ever watch. My current favorites are Biggest Looser, Survivor, The Celebrity Apprentice, and Bacholor/Bacholorette. Seriously, it's sickening how into them I get.
3. My favorite sport is soccer. (And it's also about the only sport I've truly played, and therefore understand). I started playing when I was 9 on a rec team (AYSO). Then played all through high school, and even still play today. I had to sit out a few seasons with being pregnant and having two infants and all that. But Trev and I play together on a co-ed team and love it!
4. I love piercings. I know my in the box current appearance and lifestyle may not seam like it, but I do. The most "far out" peircing that I personally had was a tongue ring. I got it right after I moved out at 18 and had it till I was nearly 21. I actually think very highly of most people that have big ol' holes in their ears.
5. I am half adopted. My super duper "adopted dad" took me on when I was about two and made it official when I was about 7. And I tell you one thing, it doesn't matter how they got there, but teenage girls and dads don't ever get along... and another thing, grown up girls can't get enough advise from their dads. (Love you dad)
6. I've been a resident of Africa. (My mom always taught me to set big goals, and that was one since I was little) I lived there through Trev's and I's whole engagement! (No it wasn't planned to avoid him and the wedding plans). I lived in Ghana, a west coast country. I volunteered as a teacher (and even got college credit for it). Although I didn't look the same, my name fit right in (all of my African friends thought it was hilarious that I was going to gain the last name of Jackson with having the first name of Seantae) I've never met more amazing people in my life and am so excited to go back again someday.
7. I am "Summer" from School of Rock. (In fact Trev calls me this more than my actual name... so much so that for Christmas he named a star after me, but not after "me" but "summer") I love getting "gold stars" (think Monica off friends). I like to be recognized for doing a good job. (not in a prideful way, but in a third grade girl trying really hard to get an A to show mommy, way) In fact, Trev once made me a star chart. We set up schedules and goals for the week. I've never done so good at reading scriptures and exercising in my life!
8. I've known I was going to have twins since I was 15. At that age they told me they didn't know if I would ever be able to have kids. My mom had a dream that I was pregnant with twins. Random people (especially in Ghana) told me that I was going to have twins. Luckily, they were all right!
9. Deep down inside, I'm a vegetarian tree hugger. I never ever liked meat (until I was pregnant with the boys). I love hippie style everything. In fact I sport one, hot, purple tie-die shirt about once a week at home. I love farmers markets and hemp. I get really mad at Trevor if he leaves the water on while he brushes his teeth. I take something home from work that somebody was going to throw away, at least once a week, and find another use for it.
10. I love people's talents. I love to paint and write poetry (poetry slams are my favorite). But I REALLY love watching people do what they do best. Whether it's a mom and a baby, a rapper that shines, an artist at work, a therapist with a client, or my husband composing music. The glow that people have in that element is amazing!
Wow, that was more fun that I thought.
I spread the love to...
