St. George Trip

So, we've been so crazy busy... but we went to St. George in March. My Grandpa had open heart surgery a little while ago and it was my Aunt's 40th birthday, so it was a great excuse for all of us to get together. It was a good trip, but crazy too. The drive wasn't too bad...I'd always hang blankets up on the windows so the boys wouldn't be getting hit in the face with sun, but it never failed, that they'd always take it down and just put it on their head instead.
The day after we got there we all went to the park and my 5 year old cousin fell at the park on this metal toy. He fell and hit the back of his head. My mom was the only one by him (we were all picnic-ing) and I went to go see what all the crying was about and she was carrying him with blood all over. "We need to go to the emergency room right now!" So her and his mom jumped in the car, no seat belt and raced away. He'd hitten the back of his head, lots of bleeding. We were all in a panic and calmed down his sweet sister who was very concerned. He ended up getting 3 stitches and a very cool light saber sword.
The next day we were all getting ready for the big 40th B-day party. I was getting some clothes for the boys, and everybody was looking after my diaper only kids in the house. My grandpa has a wood burning stove to heat up the house and Cameron fell on it and got some nasty burns. He burned his entire left hand. Mostly on the length of his thumb, and all his fingertips.
And his chest. We bandaged it and kept an eye on it.
Cameron has a really hard time with pain sometimes... so it wasn't fun re-bandaging it 4, 5 times a day for 3 weeks. (They look great now. His hands look perfect, his chest is scarring up now, but it doesn't hurt at all). This is a great picture to capture our life for 3 weeks. New bandages, all wrapped up (and clean for about 1 minute) and some good ol' "nummy purple" aka. ibeprofen. Ok, so on with the good... it was so fun to see some sunshine when it was still snowing back at home. Of course, we had to ride on "grandpa's orange tractor"...
My cousins (what does that make them to the boys) were amazing with the boys. They shared all of their toys and movies and food. Cameron is in love with Dora (the explorer... it's a show for all of you who don't get sucked into the kid shows) and Kensie had a plethera of Dora toys. It was a dream come true for Cameron!
A very nice (or suicidal) butterfly let each of the kids hold it for a long time. Believe it or not, it even flew away!
And lots of looking at the cows, horses, sheep, chickens, dogs, and bugs that are all around my grandparent's house.
It's always great to see family!

What a fun trip, except for all of the accidents. Poor little people! I'm glad they are healing up well. Poor little Cameron's burn looked so painful too me. What a trooper.

It looks like you guys have so much fun! Ryan and I were so bummed we couldn't make it out for the celebrations, but since we have employees now we might actually be able to have a life!

Glad to hear Cameron had a full recovery :)
