August 20, 2009!
We didn't have a major plan set for our anniversary, just knew we wanted some us time. So our day was slow. I wanted to feel like I actually 'got ready' so I decided to curl my hair. My hair doesn't keep curl very good, so I have to leave it all hair-sprayed for awhile before I style it.
Trev kept calling me Emma Smith...
After we got ready we dropped off the boys at Trev's parents (where they took them to do waterballoons... a highlight of their summer!) We went to Chili's for dinner (cause they have an awesome 2 for $20 that has appetizer, 2 dinners, and dessert!) Then we went to the movie "Time Traveler's Wife". I let Trev pick the movie, and he wasn't that worried until huge groups of just girls were walking into the theatre. It was really good (and Trev actually liked it too!) It was so nice to have some time with him!
We were headed back to pick up the boys, and Trev pulled into the Anniversary Inn. My jaw dropped. "What? Uhhh, What?" He just smiled and continued to get checked in. I quickly called Trev's mom to see if she was actually ok with the boys all night and give bedtime instructions. (She of course had already sneakily agreed to this earlier). She just kept laughing at me and saying, "Seantae we're fine, go enjoy yourselves!" (THANK YOU BILLIONS SHELLEY AND NEAL!)
So we walked to our room and Trev opened the door to the Swiss Family Robinson Room... The SAME room he surprised me with our honeymoon night. It was so sweet. The room is awesome...
It has a huge bathtub (which this pregnant woman took full advantage of!) with a waterfall shower.
And the bed was in the 'tree house' at the top of the stairs. It had stars above the bed even!
And my favorite part is that you request 2 drinks and the time for it to be dropped off. So at 8 o'clock this was sitting at our door.
The whole time we were there I kept thinking how much the boys would love it. Check out wasn't till noon, so Shelley dropped the boys off at the hotel so they could see the tree and the fish tank. Their favorite part was the "Macaw" which I forgot to get a picture of. It was my most creepiest part of the room. A bird that was sitting in the tree over the bed, with one eye pointed strait at the bed... I swear there was a hidden camera in it.
When they weren't running up and down the stairs to say hi to the bird they were jumping in and out of the 'swimming pool'. And turning the jets on and off.
I sure am the luckiest girl in the world, and every cent of the hotel was worth it to be reminded how much I am in love with this cutie pie! (sorry it's a mushy picture... but we're mushy when we don't have kids jumping on us!)
