Boys, Boys, Boys!

So I seem to be getting worse at blogging, both how often I blog and the actual action. I swear I used to be able to copy and paste text and pictures.... so I typed all sorts of stuff and then cut it to paste it at the top... no such luck. So sorry, but this'll be the shortened version!

Everything's going great with my 4 boys. I'm absolutely loving having a baby. It's so so different than with the boys, and I'm not sure why. I often don't want to share Zach with anybody cause I don't want to miss time with him. The boys seem to be adjusting well, but do get jelous if he's interfere's in any of 'their' time... like singing songs before bed cause I'm feeding Zach, for example.

Zach's life's been a whirlwind:
1 week old = Christmas Eve

2 weeks old = New Years Eve (with our house becoming the party headquarters)

3 weeks old = Few days before his brother's third birthday (Holy Cow, they're 3!)

Anyway, we're starting to get used to it all. I'm starting to get used to being at home (I know this sounds wierd since I got laid off in August, but I've been pregnant, and not really trying to be functional since then. I kind of feel like this is my first time being a stay at home mom... cause the last time I was I had new born twins, and I definetaly wasn't trying to accomplish much besides keeping them alive at that point.) But I'm loving it, and hoping to get better and better at it, so once it warms up we can have lots of fun outside, and still have things going smoothly with cleaning and schedules and whatnot at home!

SO, done with all the jabber, here's some picts from December: (they're in a wierd order cause I can't get them to move very easy... sorry for my blogging incompetance!)

So, Owen turned 3 and decided he wanted to act like a 6 year old. He asked me how to spell their names. I quickly wrote them in red and went on with my cleaning. I came back in and HOLY COW! He did all of those in green TOTALLY on his own. Talk about great hand eye fine motor skills! (His 'E' is my favorite!)

So most the time the boys don't pay too much attention to Zach, and then others they are all over him. So I was trying to not get frustrated (they are just loving him after all), so I gave them their new Kid National Geographic's (thanks Oma!), thinking they'd be occupied and forget about him....

No such luck!

(This was meant to be the last pict on this post) Aren't babies seriously the SWEETEST?!??

Our most challenging time is nap time (and I have to admit I make Trev help me almost everyday since he works in the basement). We had just started to get the hang of it before we had Zach. Owen would sit with me while we watched Cars and I'd ignore Cameron. Soon they'd quickly fall asleep if I did just the right ammount of attention on Owen, and none with Cam. If I time feedings right I can have Zach and Owen now (good thing the thing that Cam needs is NO attention... he wouldn't fit on my lap too!)

This is the preferred position. Head totally crooked!

New Christmas Eve Jammies!

Mary, Joseph, and their angels. (Jesus hadn't been 'born' yet... he was in the other room with grandma)

Christmas Eve (I couldn't not buy this shirt, "All mommy wants for Christmas is a Silent Night")

How lucky am I?

Zach's first bath (sponge bath on the living room floor) Owen couldn't help but be involved!

On our way home from the hospital.

Oma's so smart and had the boys make this sign for Zach's room.

What a happy life!

Seantae, Congratulations! I'm so late on seeing your beautiful new baby boy and your already darling twins. You have a gorgeous family. So glad to read that everything went well. Hope things are settled down now and that you're adjusted to having three. Congrats again and sorry for my self-absorbancy!

We could maybe work something out for a baby session... One of my major key's to success is stellar pro lenses... that's pretty major for getting that nice crisp sharpness that point and shoots never get. You can see all the pics from the 'session' I did with Charlie on my photoblog - www.christieheywoodphotography.com/blog - I don't have a full studio set up, I use some pretty ghetto knock off equipment for a studio since I raaarrreeellyy do studio stuff I haven't invested. It's stuff you could find mostly around your house if you're really really interested in giving it a go yourself... you can email me if you're more interested... christieheywood@gmail.com
