Horrible Hives!

So two weeks (baby blessing day-February 10th) Owen got these awful hives.

Since they just wouldn't go away we took him in. The doctor didn't know what was causing it (possibly a virus) and said to treat his symptoms. He was miserable.

Little did we know it was the beginning of an awful few weeks for sickness. He threw up once with the hives. The next day Zach threw up once. Wednesday everybody was good and went to school and we even had friends over for dinner. On Thursday- also valentines day- I got a call from the school 5 minutes before school got out that Cam wasn't feeling good. My heart broke when he came walking out the school and starting crying when he saw me. He thought he was in a celiac reaction because his stomach hurt so bad. We were walking back to the van to wait for Owen to get out and I had that mommy intuition- he was going to throw up. I quickly aimed him at the snow bank. Long story short Cameron and Owen were so sick. Owen literally slept for a couple days. Tons of throwing up. They couldn't even keep water down. Then Trevor got it over the weekend and Moday was a holiday. Monday night I got it and was absolutely miserable Tuesday and am still trying to be more normal. On Friday night Zach had a hard time going to sleep. Saturday morning he woke up in hives that got worse throughout the day.

All day we debated needing to take him in. Once his lips got swollen we knew it was a concern of his throat closing. So (by that time) we went to the ER. They loaded him up on tons of medicine and are continuing it through this week. He has some other things they are concerned about and wanting to run some labs for in a couple weeks. (It was one of those moments where I knew the doctor wasn't giving me more information so I wouldn't get too worried).

So wish us luck healing and getting better. (Owen just told me his throat hurts and Cameron told me his ear hurts). Oh life with lots of little ones!never a full moment and full of blessings!
