6 month Miracle

This is today. I just did my first post pardum run. It's also been over a year since I ran. I was nervous to even try- in fear that I would fail. But I left with confidence and pretended the whole time like the last 6 months hadn't been what they have. As I rounded back to my house after running 2 miles (in 24 minutes- not too bad for the first run!) I was overwhealmedbwith so many emotions thinking about what my body could do 6 months ago- and what we've gone through since.

6 months ago tomorrow, I went into preterm labor. I was ambulanced to McKay Dee Hospital and there I laid for 3 weeks. The first week my body literally couldn't handle even conversation, let alone moving. So I had a cathider in and didn't move and tried my hardest to not worry about the babies or my three sweet children at home. I got transferred up to Logan Hospital on Halloween Day. I got to come home, but within a few hours we were reminded that the smallest announts of stimulation in my environment sent me back into labor. After another week in the hospital here I started dialating again and no medication would stop it. The doctors, nurses, and medication could no longer help. It was up to God at that point. And he miraculously stopped the labor again for another week. I got to hug my kids and live in my room on the lazy boy.

On November 15th we  had the two sweetest babies. They spent 3 1/2 weeks in the hospital intensive care unit and came home December 9th- exactly two months from me getting in the hospital. Zach had his 3rd birthday. Kayden got off his oxygen. Christmas. Cameron and Owen turned 6. Kayden had complications from his circumsision. The babies were cleared to be in public. My tooth pain started. The babies got blessed. Owen got hives. Zach threw up. Owen threw up. Cameron got the stomach flu. Owen got the stomach flu. Trevor got the stomach flu. Hannah and I got the stomach flu. Zach got hives- ER visit. Owen got croup. Kayden got croup. Cameron and Zach got croup. I threw up in Lee's parking lot. Kayden got major eye infections and was tested for RSV and whooping cough. I got a root canal. Trevor had back pain so bad he threw up. I got another root canal. I got an infection in my jaw. Cameron's ear started bleading. Cameron and Zach got ear infections. Zach's ear infection didn't clear. On more medicine. Trevor got hit in the car. I went running for a break.

And that brings us to today. (And I'm fairly certain I forgot some things. But the moral of the story is: here we are today. Seven beautiful, healthy, happy, able bodied people. We may be negative in the bank, but we are positive in our blessings. We have been carried and lifted by hundreds of prayers, friends, family, and angels

Sometimes you just need to give it 6 months.
