I really wanted to embrace thanksgiving this year, so at the beginning of November I went and bought a container and some cute stickers to decorate it (and cute bowl and place mat) to be our yearly thanksgiving jar. Every night at dinner we each said what we were thankful for and put it in the jar. It was amazing how much it made gratitiude tangible. I loved hearing the things they came up with, and it was such a fun way to start our dinner conversations. The day after thanksgiving I had us all say what our favorite thing was about the day. I also did one that just said our thanksgiving day activities and the year. I'm so excited to see this jar in 10 years, and read all of our blessings!

Thanksgiving!
I love thanksgiving! I love having an excuse to tell everybody that I'm grateful for them! I love having a time to dedicate to teaching the boys about gratitude.

The week started off with a bang. We got a lot of snow (this was before the storm came). Trev and the boys (especially Cameron) had so much fun making a snowman and a snowfort!
Our Thanksgiving day started with stopping at my grandpa's (dad's dad) in Salt Lake. We haven't seen him for a couple years. He lives down town. It was SOOO fun watching him excitedly show the boys the view from his apartment.

From there we went to my grandma's house (nanny, dad's mom's). It was so nice to spend time with her and my family. My dad's girlfriend's son Carter was so nice to play with the boys for hourse... I think they tuckered him out.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching my dad and boys. They enjoy each other so much!
And my wonderful Nanny. She's the best. I love her so much. Her spirit lights up the room - ANY room!
