So a year ago this week I started on my weight loss health changing journey. I remember driving down the road seeing people running. They were so skinny and determined. They looked great in their work out clothes. It appeared as if it was so easy for them. If I was like that, maybe I would go running too.
I have now been working out for a year. There of course has been weeks that are less, and weeks that are more. But overall, I have changed my view of myself that I have an active lifestyle. Changing that view of myself really helps me to be not want to stop.
But I have to tell you all a secret. It never gets any easier. I, of course, made the new years resolution, to keep up exercise. It helps my mind SOOOO much! I made the goal this first week of the year to work out 3 days the week. I don't work out on Sundays, and it is now Thursday... guess what that means? I either do it today and the next 3 days, or I don't reach that goal. And guess what? I didn't really care. I was in pj's, in bed, watching tv.
Trevor came home from a basketball game (yeah, not like a movie with popcorn and candy or something more coinciding with my mood). I told Trev that I was supposed to work out... but didn't want to. He said, "Well, why don't you just run around the block? I know how much better you'll feel if you just go." LOL, he thinks he knows me so well.
Turns out he does. I just got dressed, with layers for the cold and a flashlight for the dark.
And went.
3 miles later....

My mind is clearer, it felt like a joy jog with some heavy breathing, my legs are jello. And I am reminded, it never gets any easier, but it is ALWAYS worth it.
Good luck with your own resolutions!
Remember that not only is the work worth it,
but YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!

Exercising 3 days a week was my goal for this year too, and I most certainly needed this pep talk to re-kick my butt in gear. Thank you!
I heart you.
Well..... if you can do it.... I can try to :) 3 months cross fit and counting! Did my fat % at Weber yesterday, that's a motivator! Love you! Proud of you! :)
Love this reminder! Hopefully I'll remember it at 6:30am tomorrow!!
(Is it so fitting that the word verification to post this comment is "skine"?!)
