They were so funny with their cakes (which they did not get to have until we sang happy birthday individually to them... I think our families are really glad we don't have sextuplets or something, we'd be singing all night!) A year ago, I would have told you that I would have known exactly how they would be with their cakes. That Owen wouldn't touch it much, and that Cameron would be fingerpainting in it. Kids do prove their parents wrong often. It was just opposite! Cameron really wouldn't even touch it, and when he did, it was with a single pointer finger, the tip only, and then a quick pull back, and look to me.
Owen devoured it! He loved it. He swam through it all and ate an awful lot of frosting! I eventually pushed Cameron's hands into the cake so that he could try to have some fun in it, and as soon as I let go of his hands, he was shaking them quickly back and forth to try to get the frosting off (splattering it all over the in-laws living room and tv!...luckily they didn't care too much!) But they had so much fun being the center's of attention and getting new presents. I sure do love watching them grow!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Time sure flies. I cannot believe they're one! Oh, I love that first birthday with the cake. It is so much fun. I wish we'd had a digital camera back then so I could post Kaleb's 1st cake eating experience. It was hilarious! Cute pictures!
That looks like so much fun, I can't wait until Elise can start making big food messes.
