Spring Break!

So it was my brother-in-law's Spring Break and we got to spend a day with the in-laws (my mother, father, and brother in law, and us) doing so many fun things!

We started out at the Living Aquarium in Sandy. (And it was a great start... we ALL got sleep the night before and left on time... two things that generally never happen, let alone on the same day) :)
The whole way down Cameron asked if there would be frogs... for some reason I thought there would be literally just fish... he was so glad I was wrong!

The eels were SO cool. And we got to watch them feed the electric eel, and although the boys didn't understand it, it was the highlight for my father in law!
I think jelly fish are so cool. It was fun to teach the boys about them so that if... I mean WHEN... we take them to the ocean they won't think they're going to be a cool pink, then purple color... and to not touch them!
I don't know why, but MY very favorite part was the octopus. I've never seen one, and I couldn't believe how big it was and how cool it looked!
At first when Cameron heard it was sharks he wouldn't come near them (plus it was right after being able to touch the sting rays... which is SO cool... but Cam wasn't so into it). But once we convinced him that the sharks really were in a tank and they wouldn't be able to get us, he literally stayed there for ever.
Me and my boys... and a great shot of the 'Nemo fish' (that's a clown fish's official name at our house)
The whole gang! (It was so so so nice to have so many helping (and willing) hands!)
Trev's little brother, Kellan, just turned 12. He would never admit that he had fun too... and definitely wouldn't let me catch a smile on camera!
(Don't kill me Shelley for this picture) :) It just captures the women stress moment that we all have. We were sitting waiting for our food and my father in law wasn't doing things quiet right... LOL. I'm totally the same way. What a great picture.
They had penguins! They were so playful and fun! It was the cutest moment for me as a mom though. There was a worker telling us all about them and answering questions. I asked the boys if they wanted to ask anything. Cameron really did (he takes after his mom... always wanting to make the teacher proud), but he didn't know what to ask. So I let him think about it on his own. A few minutes later he said he was ready to ask. So in a huge crowd of people we went over and he asked his well thought out question, "What color are their eyes?" I about cried. I didn't prompt him or help him, and I thought it was a great question! Oh, and they are brown!
This was the only picture that they weren't totally blurry from touching the wall that they were clearly not supposed to be touching :)
I love dolphins... I don't know why. But my sweet Cameron has this natural love for them too.
Next (meaning after a drive and a nap and a feeding) we hit Thanksgiving Point. Shelley was trying to involve Kellan to solve the different questions they had posted.
I was informed that these were the twin dinosaurs.
Although the dinosaur fossils were neat to see, they weren't very entertaining for 3 year olds (even Cameron who is very into them right now). Luckily they had fun things for them to do too!

Like dig for fossils.
Build islands for the dinosaurs. I was teaching them they could make a path for the water to go down. It was a really fun learning time for us.
Be their own little dinos.
And puzzle dinosaurs.
But they still haven't stopped talking about how big this foot was. Holy cow, I'm glad it's just a fossil and not the real deal!
After this we went to dinner and then swimming at the hotel. I don't think we've ever enjoyed a day out as much as this. With having had sleep, took lots of food breaks, and had lots of helping hands.

It was a great day, and reminded me how fun it is to have kids!
