So obviously summer brings blogging even less, but I'd like to sneak in the time for some random "little things" moments that make my life worth living:
A year ago my mom was just getting out of the hospital with a long long recovery ahead of her... this year, she got married! (Promised pictures to come)
Cameron's been choosing the "Barney song" before bed just so he can sneak in more hugs and kisses to me (you know as you sing, with a kiss from me to you...)
The other night it was Owen's turn to say prayer. He got on his knees, folded his arms, closed his eyes and said a very heartfelt, non-repitious prayer. When he got done I told him, "That was awesome Owen! When you say prayers like that it makes Mommy happy and Heavenly Father happy!" He asked me where Heavenly Father was. I told him that he was up in the sky, that he could always see us. I walked him to his room and laid him in bed. He looked at me and said, "But mommy, Heavenly Father can't see me right now, we're in our house!" (I tried to explain that he's super cool and can see through houses but he doesn't seem convinced)
Many weeks later we were driving, and the boys were having a conversation with each other. Cameron told Owen that his Jesus is in buildings, like temples and houses.
Owen stands firm that his Jesus lives in the clouds. :)
We've all had the stomach flu this week and when I had it the worst the first day my amazing brother came up to lend a helping hand. He brought me flowers :)
When Zach makes eye contact with any of us he has to smile.
I went running for the first time in my whole life (outside of sports) and didn't stop! (about 1 1/2 miles)
We had a micro-burst come through our town (neighbors saw the funnels touch ground though, so we say tornado... I know, crazy thing to happen in Utah) and our neighbor's tree landed on a power line where my kids often play. Luckily, we weren't home. Owen had asked if we could go walk around the temple. Thank you angels for that save! (I will also have to post pictures of this one, it was CRAZY!)
Anytime the boys walk by a dandelion they can't help but pick it and give it to me :)
Trev and I have been married for almost five years, and he still writes love notes on the mirror to me.
