What May 15th looked like- in reverse :)

Hello!!! I really enjoyed doing this this month- I must slowly be feeling more ontop of life! Except the pictures came up backwards! So we'll do my day in reverse! :)

11:35pm: I look at the clock after putting dishes in and realize I should probably go to bed before its the 16th.

9:34: I get back from my run and my hubby is already at work making me my second dinner. (And yes, we eat another dinner almost every night- but usually it's just cereal)

8:45: I start putting in my running clothes amist all the kids getting out of their beds needing just 'one more' of a million things. I was excited on my run to go a faster pace (over a minute faster per mile!) and added a mile (I went 3). Especially since I've only gone a handful of inconsistent spread out, times.

7:55: We get back from the game and Owen has a piece of 'wood in his eye for like a thousand hours!!!!!' A wet rag magically made the wood disappear. Phew!!

6:55: We attempt to feed the babies cereal and carrots at the game. They can't eat fast enough and get mad waiting for their turn every other bite- so we have to play a little man to man feeding ;)

6:15: We get to north Logan to watch one of Kellan's (my brother in law) last soccer games. Hannah matches grandmas hat..... And they look an awful lot alike!!!

4:05: I open the closet I've been neglecting as we've been combining and switching bedrooms. It was the first hour in months that all 5 kids were content.... Hints why we were late to the soccer game- I didn't want to stop actually accomplishing something!!!

3:55: Cameron lays on Zach's bed to show off his drawings to the babies.

3:45: I finally get around to packing an extra diaper bag that can just stay in the van.... I always forget to bring it when I really need it!

3:30: I go in the kitchen to figure out what the noise is accompanying the giggling- the older boys had set up chairs as the 'net' and were playing tennis. My scentsy became the referee whistling the end of the game!

2:35: Zach sits with me out front while we have a carrot snack break.

2:30: Cameron and Owen show off their dribbling skills while being warned not to hit our neighbors painters truck when they shoot the ball.

2:20:I put everything back into its rightful bin in the art cupboard for the umpteenth time.

2:00: I watch Cameron read (and catch him saying 'of' instead of 'off' and not changing his inflections with punctuation marks) while quizzing Owen on vocabulary- literally at the same time.

1:45: I water Cameron's sunflower plant while noticing how beautiful the blossoms on the apple tree are. They literally look like snow this year- so white!

1:30: I am blown away, once again, at how good of an artist Cameron is.

1:15: I sneak a piece of gluten free cheesecake that Trevor made me for Mother's Day. The only way I can get Zach to nap now is if he sleeps in my bed.... So I don't really get a quiet time myself with no rooms to hide in. But cheesecake is just as good as a break ;)

1:00: We start quiet time. I nurse the babies on the couch while Cameron gets out his sketch book and the new bird book he got at his school library. I have an excited moment as a mom- both that he loves drawing so much, but also that he recently discovered his love for birds: now him and Trevor will have something fun to do together! (Cameron doesn't love fishing and hunting so much).

12:08: On the drive back from picking up kindergarteners I find this office chair on the corner labeled free. I snag it up! (A little duct tape and it'll be good as new in my book!)

11:00: Zach and I (and babies) had a super slow morning- just enjoying each other. He asked to get a new toy out from our downstairs toy rotation- dr. toys. I tell him 'Bear' needs some help while I jump in the shower.

What a great day it was- forwards, backwards, or sideways. It doesn't matter how you look at it... I'm one lucky girl!!!!!

Yep, agree with Jenni! Documenting a day like that is such a good idea. Just to remember the little things that really are the big things in the end. Love ya and miss you!
